Ok so as I said late last night I am now back in the UK, where the weather is quite frankly pitiful - I'm used to ~35 degrees now and nothing less will do!
Since I last updated y'all on my activities I;
Visited Gilette Stadium, Massachussetts, home of the Patriots!
Went to a vineyard and drank crappy American wine.
Went to the beach around Newport, Rhode Island.
Ate loads of seafood
Went to Boston's Chinatown,
Went to the Warped Tour
Flew on a plane
Completed a sexy t-shirt tan
Saw the Simpsons movie and the Bourne Ultimatum before their UK release.
Effortlessly kept up with NFL news via ESPN which we could really do with in the UK.
Got bored to death of Baseball and sodding Barry Bonds.
Realised I have gained half a stone in 2.5 weeks!
In more detail - Went to the Patriots stadium, bought a bunch of stuff including clothes and an official leather ball. Chilled on the beach, ate loads of shellfish including lobsters, bass and lots of other stuff - plenty of chowder!
The films I saw were both great - a real return to form for the Simpsons and as per usual, the Bourne film was stunning.
At the Warped Tour (Tweeter Center, Boston) I watched Tiger Army, Pepper, New Found Glory, Flogging Molly, Hot Rod Circuit, As I Lay Dying as well as a couple of other bands I didn't recognise.
Tiger Army were completely awesome and I hope they come to the UK soon, Flogging Molly were as good as always although I have now seen them 5 times! Pepper were a good laugh although they were also ludicrously cheesy at the same time! New Found Glory were great and had the crowd going insane as per usual - the only mosh pit I have ever been actually scared in was a New Found Glory pit at Reading Festival a few years ago! The only problem with the Warped Tour was when I got ID'd for an $8!!!!!! beer and was told my UK driving licence, credit card and debit card were not sufficient - I didn't want to drive the beer anyway!
Seafood was great and I also ate lots of steak and general meat.
Boston was cool but I did prefer New York overall.
Gilette Stadium was great and a real experience for me as a Patriots fan although sadly the team were not practising locally so we couldn't go and see.
The rest is kind of a blur at this moment in time but once I've looked at all my photos I'm sure I will have more to say! I will also try to link to any albums I put up online!
Hope y'all had a good couple of week!
Cheers
